Marist School in Atlanta planned to expand and renovate its library to support 21st-century learning. Hannan Construction was brought on to add and transform 18,000 SF of modern, collaborative educational space.

The Challenge
Construction was to take place during the school year, so Hannan Construction worked closely with the school’s administration to implement a logistical site plan that allowed construction to progress on schedule without disrupting operations. Key components like classrooms, common areas, open-work spaces, and restroom upgrades were all integrated while maintaining safe traffic flow for students, parents, and faculty.
The Results
The completed expansion delivers versatile, advanced learning environments including a new robotics lab and virtual reality theater. Classrooms, offices, and lecture rooms now support both collaborative and traditional learning styles. Other highlights include:
- Complete demolition and remodel of first floor
- New two-level classroom & office structure
- Minimal impact to campus traffic during construction
